My name is Jody Brewer, and I am a wife to my high school sweetheart, a mother to two neurodivergent young men, a daughter, a friend, a sister, a business owner and a marriage and family therapist. I recently completed a doctorate in clinical biomedical ethics from Albany Medical College, so I am also a bioethicist. I relocated with my family from California to South Carolina last year. I am interested in all things that impact others’ lives. I want to explore such issues as end-of-life care, social determinants of health, informed consent, health care access, vaccinations and I might even throw in some therapeutic insights. I enjoy pursuing new avenues of knowledge, and this blog is my attempt to continue my educational journey. It has been said of me that if I could make a living out of learning, I would be a perpetual student.
